The first show of the Sheehan Gallery 2014-2015 exhibition season will be unveiled Sept. 12 in the gallery on the Whitman College campus, 345 Boyer Ave.

“Post-Rural” highlights artists whose works engage with the shifting notions of rural spaces.

Works by Brad Allen, James Bailey, Kevin Bell, Matt Hamon, Karina Hean, Trey Hill, Nicole Pierantoni, Edgar Smith, plus Walla Walla Valley artists Michelle Acuff, Ian Boyden and Charles Timm-Ballard are included in the exhibit.

The curator talk by Matt Hamon will be 5:30 p.m. Sept 12 in Olin Hall, room 130.

Following the talk the opening celebration will take place in Sheehan Gallery.

Ian Boyden will give an artist talk at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in Olin Hall 157, with a reception to follow in the Sheehan Gallery.

Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
