Joe Sacco Lecture

Joe Sacco, world renowned cartoonist and journalist, will provide a free lecture for the public at Whitman College in conjunction with Whitman's current Sheehan gallery exhibit.

Whitman College's Sheehan gallery features a semester long exhibit, "Seeing Stories," which includes many internationally recognized graphic author/artists such as Alison Bechdel, Craig Thompson, Joe Sacco, Chris Ware, Lynda Barry, Shimura Takako, Neil Gaiman, R. Crumb, and Emily Carroll as well as the collaborative work of French artists Regis Loisel & Jean-Louis Tripp in "Magasin Generale." Additionally the exhibit features 16 "Colonial Comics" artists, telling snippets of American history through drawing.
